A bespoke stainless steel Pteranodon sculpture. This life-sized piece captures the majestic crest and soaring wingspan of the prehistoric predator.

The Pteranodon (Pteranodon longiceps) was a master of the Cretaceous skies, boasting a wingspan that allowed it to soar over ancient oceans with minimal effort. This life-sized rendition, commissioned for a private client and affectionately nicknamed "Terry," focuses on the species' iconic cranial crest and the immense, leather-like membrane of its wings.

Using stainless steel, I aimed to recreate the aerodynamic tension of the creature’s form. The material’s reflective properties highlight the sharp, toothless beak and the intricate muscularity required to launch such a large frame into flight. By translating this extinct giant into metal, the sculpture bridges the gap between ancient biological engineering and modern craftsmanship....
