“Stainless steel wildlife sculptures added to benches at Eastwood Farm Nature Reserve, Bristol, celebrating local animals and community engagement.”
I'm excited to share a recent project at Eastwood Farm Nature Reserve in Bristol: stainless steel sculptures added to benches throughout the site. The sculptures feature local wildlife including Mouse, Wren, Spider, Kingfisher, Diving Beetle, Newt, and Minnow, creating delightful surprises for visitors near Beese's Tea Garden.
The Friends of Eastwood Farm have been working alongside Bristol City Council for years to care for the reserve. Their work balances giving people the chance to experience nature up close while allowing the wildlife and habitats to thrive. The reserve's water meadows and woodland provide a countryside feel right within the city.
Adjacent to the reserve is a children's play area recently rebuilt with funding raised by the Friends, and the nearby riverside bar, Beese's, adds to a community space that everyone in Brislington can enjoy and take pride in. The sculptures add a playful and educational element, celebrating the rich wildlife of Eastwood Farm.
