A durable stainless steel noticeboard installed for Friends of St Andrews Park to share events, wildlife info, and community projects in Bishopston.

I’m delighted to share a recent project: a stainless steel community noticeboard commissioned on behalf of Friends of St Andrews Park (FoSAP) in Bishopston, Bristol.

FoSAP is a passionate local group dedicated to protecting, enhancing, and promoting St Andrews Park. They work closely with Bristol City Council on everything from pond renovations and play area improvements to wildlife conservation and community events. Their efforts help make the park a vibrant, accessible space for all residents, serving as a key link between park users and local management.

The new noticeboard is designed to be durable, low-maintenance, and highly visible, providing a central hub for information about park events, wildlife walks, volunteer opportunities, and ongoing projects like pond restoration and biodiversity initiatives. It's a small but important addition to support FoSAP’s ongoing work, keeping the community informed and engaged.

This noticeboard is more than just functional - it's also a celebration of the park's wildlife and natural beauty. Stainless steel sculptures are integrated into the design, featuring creatures and flora that can be found in the park: slug, snail, damselfly, bat, devils coachman beetle, frog, pine cone, conker, poppy, bee, and blackbird. These whimsical details reflect the diversity of life in St Andrews Park and create a sense of delight for visitors of all ages.

It's always a pleasure to collaborate with groups that have such a deep love for their local environment, and this noticeboard is a practical, lasting way to celebrate and support their efforts.
